Our Location
Northeastern’s New York City campus is located at 221 East 71st Street, between Second and Third Avenues, with the Thomas J. Shanahan Library located on the second floor of Nugent Hall.
Getting to the Campus
From Long Island
- By car: Take Northern State Parkway (Grand Central Parkway) to Robert F. Kennedy (Triboro) Bridge. Exit from bridge to FDR Drive South. Exit FDR Drive at E. 71st Street.
- By train: Take LIRR to Penn Station. Transfer to the subway for the Q Uptown train (to 72nd Street).
From Upstate New York
- By car: Take the New York State Thruway (Route 87) South to Robert F. Kennedy (Triboro) Bridge. Exit from bridge to FDR Drive South. Exit FDR Drive at E. 71st Street.
- Alternate Route: Take Route 684 South to Hutchinson River Parkway to Route 278 West. Follow signs to Robert F. Kennedy (Triboro) Bridge. Exit from bridge to FDR Drive South. Exit FDR Drive at E. 71st Street.
- By Train: Take Metro North to Grand Central Terminal, or take Amtrak to Penn Station. Transfer to the subway for the 6 Uptown train (to 68th Street/Lexington Avenue).
From New England
- By car: Take Rt. 95 South to Rt. 278 West to Robert F. Kennedy (Triboro) Bridge. Exit from bridge to FDR Drive South. Exit FDR Drive at E. 71st Street.
- From Points West and South of NYC
- By car: Take the George Washington Bridge to Harlem River Drive South, which becomes FDR Drive. Exit FDR Drive at E. 71st Street.
Parking Near the Campus
- Garden Parking - south side of East 71st Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Closest parking to entrance of College, but the garage is quite small and fills up quickly.
- City Parking - north side of East 71st Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
- City Parking - south side of East 71st Street between 1st and York (vehicles may also enter on the north side of East 70th St between 1st and York).
- ParkIt - south side of East 70th St between 1st and York (400 East 70th St).
