The new DMC Studios on Snell Library's second floor offer modern, professional-level audio and video recording facilities to the whole Northeastern community.
- The audio studio offers a full suite of audio-recording hardware and software, including a wide range of microphones; instruments like electric guitar amps, a drum kit, and a keyboard; sound engineering for high-fidelity acoustics; and a ProTools HD multi-track recording system.
- The video studio includes a green screen, professional video camera and a lighting system. Additional cameras, microphones and tele-prompters are also available to aid in high level professional recordings.
- The new facility also includes two Media Creation Studios. Each studio has a PC and Mac for post-production and basic audio recording, using a wide range of software.
All of these new spaces are available to the whole Northeastern community: students, faculty, and staff. Digital media staff are also available to provide curricular project support, and to teach classes and workshops.
Reservations for the studios may be requested through NUSSO, the campus space reservation system, and a staff member will follow up to confirm and schedule any necessary training.
