Computer & Wireless Use

Computers for web browsing are available on all floors of Snell Library. Access for visitors without a login is available on computers marked "Public Access." On these public access computers, please limit your use to a maximum of 2 hours while others are waiting.

  •  Playing DVD's, CD's, VHS and LP's in Snell Library: see guide here

InfoCommons: Please note that the InfoCommons computer lab machines require a login and are only available to current NU affiliates.  View the list of software available.

Wireless: You can access Northeastern's NUWave wireless network from anywhere in the Snell Library building. Current NU affiliates may use a secure wireless connection with their myNEU/NUNet login.

Visitors need to register for free NUWave-guest wireless access, similar to registration at coffee shops and airports.  Licensed online library resources are available to registered users on NUWave-guest.

Eduroam wireless: if you are from an eduroam institution (view a list of US members) you will be able to use your own university login to connect to the eduroam wireless network in Snell Library and elsewhere on campus.

Appropriate Use: Those using Library computers and the NU network must abide by NU Appropriate Use of Computer and Network Resources policy. Misuse of our computers may result in the loss of library privileges or in disciplinary action.
