Digitization & Duplication



No fee for photography, but:

Patrons are required to sign a Duplication Agreement. The photographs are solely for the personal use of the individual requesting them.

All responsibility for possible infringement of copyright law as a result of reproduction and use of these materials is assumed by the applicant. The researcher assumes full responsibility for complying with laws of libel and literary property rights which may be involved in their use.

No materials belonging to Archives and Special Collections may be published or exhibited, in whole or in part, online or in print, without permission of the Archivist.

Low Resolution Scanning

The Archives offers low resolution scanning. All low resolution scanning will be done in accordance with the University Libraries' established rules and regulations. .

All material from archival or special collections must be copied by Archives staff. Most scan requests can be completed at no cost, however cost may be considered depending on the size and our ability to complete the request..

All scans will be delivered via email or file transfer service.

High Resolution Scanning

Self-service scanning is not permitted for archival or manuscript collections. The Archives staff can provide high resolution digital copies of pictorial and printed material no larger than 35 x 24 inches. Scanned images can be up to 600 dpi for certain dimensions, in black and white or color, and in the image format of your choice (jpeg, tiff etc).
