Notes and More on Your iPad

Mobile and tablet devices have made their way into all aspects of university life, and the library is no exception. At Snell, librarians have been using iPads to provide research assistance and other core library services. Here are some of the favorite (and most useful) apps they've found so far.

Spotlight: Open Access Week 2012

In October, the library celebrated the sixth annual Open Access Week, an international event highlighting the importance of free and open access to information. Northeastern's keynote event for the week was a breakfast with David Weinberger (above), author and senior researcher at Harvard's Berkman Center for the Internet and Society. Throughout the week, many students, faculty and staff stopped by the Open Access Week table in the Snell lobby to talk with librarians about how to improve access to research beyond campus. Learn more about creating and using open access resources.
