Using Other Libraries

Visiting and Borrowing in Person

Northeaster is a member of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC) and other reciprocal partnerships.  CURRENTLY BLC LIBRARIES ARE NOT OPEN TO OUTSIDE VISITORS DUE TO THE COVID-19 pandemic.

View a list of our partner libraries.  Always contact libraries individually to ask about access rules or scanning services, or ask a librarian for assistance.

Accessing other libraries through OCLC Shares

Snell Library is a partner in OCLC Shares - a group of libraries and institutions from around the world.  Check the list to see if they are there, and please contact libraries individually to ask about access rules or scanning services in advance of your visit.

Searching Other Libraries Online

To see which other libraries have what you need, search WorldCat Local. This shows which North American (and some international) libraries have the books, journals, media, and all types of materials you need. You may request delivery of many of these items from directly within the system.
