Parents & Families

We're here to help your student succeed!

We offer:

Access to collections

60,000 e-journals, 200,000 e-books, 50,000 digitized university and historical records, and hundreds of licensed databases containing electronic documents, images, data, and streaming music and video.  And if the library doesn't own what your student needs, we'll even order it from another library via InterLibrary Loan.

Research support

Our friendly and responsive staff can help your student in their hour of need.  From subject specialist libarians to media experts, all your student has to do is contact us for help.

Technical assistance 24/7 from ITS Service Desk employees at the Help and Information Desk on the 1st floor of Snell Library.  Desktops and printers are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, and laptops and cameras are available to borrow at the Help and Information Desk.  Over 20 group study spaces are equipped with large monitors to plug in a laptop and share and collaborate with a group.

We'd love to have you stop by!  Prospective students will see the library as part of their tour of campus, and accepted students and their parents are offered a special introduction to the library during Orientation and Welcome Week.

Student Jobs in the Library

Every year we employ a large number of work study students and have co-op opportunites for students to explore.  Your student can check the Library Jobs page for more info.

We'll help your student stretch that entertainment budget even further!  We have everything from exciting author talks to panel discussions on topics of the day to movie screenings with filmmaker Q&As.  See our calendar for details.
