Funding Priorities: Sponsoring Library Workshops & Events

During the year, the library hosts a number of events for the entire Northeastern community including workshops and training sessions on new research services and software, film screenings, author talks, and faculty speakers. All of which aim to enhance the intellectual and cultural output of the university, foster discussion, and relate directly to the university’s overarching academic mission. Examples of past speakers include: poet and musician Saul Williams, science photographer and author Felice Frankel, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Paul Harding, and New York Times Magazine columnist Dr. Lisa Sanders.

The opportunity is available to endow and name a library program series, which would provide the library with the resources to execute high quality programs for the Northeastern community and our supporters, and to recruit well-known speakers to campus.
