Logging in From Off Campus

  • Access for NU affiliates to ejournals, reference and other databases is available for educational use only and may vary depending on the publisher's license. A login is generally required for off-campus users.
  • Our online catalog, NUcat, is open to all but a login is required for services like online book renewal, holds, preferred searches, and personal lists.

Login error messages and what they mean

"Your patron record has expired"

  • If you are currently registered, please contact the Circulation Desk at (617) 373-8778 and we will update your information if it can be verified by the University Registrar.
  • If you are an alumnus/a, you may register as an alumni for library privileges.

 

"Unable to identify you through your campus identification"

  • There may be a problem with your myNEU account or you typed your password incorrectly.

 

"Unable to identify you through your library identification"

  • If you are faculty emeritus or a reciprocal or special borrower, and have not borrowed books from the library before or recently got a new Husky/library card, you may not be registered in our system. You may contact the Snell (617-373-8778) or Law Library (617-373-3332) to register your barcode.

 

“Sorry, the information you submitted was invalid. Please try again.”

  • You are not currently registered, or you registered within the last 3 or 4 days and your registration information has not yet been updated at the library. If you have an immediate need to log in, please contact Library Technology Services at x7088.
